Medical Aid In The Occupation

Medical professionals were present in the Legislative Yuan and in the occupation encampment surrounding it 24/7 in order to attend to any and all injuries. A pathway kept clear for medical emergencies was formed in case of severe injury by the traffic management team and Citizen 1985, although some took issue with this as a restriction of space seeing as that the crowd would likely disperse in the case of emergencies. Backlash against this lane, including a conflict with the Untouchables’ Liberation Area, eventually led to a reduction in the size of this lane. Medical services provided included aid for physical injury, psychological counseling, and both western and eastern medicine.
