Frequent Protest Spaces In Taipei

Certain sites in Taipei serve as gathering spots where protests frequently happen

Certain sites in Taipei (台北) serve as gathering spots where protests frequently happen. Apart from around the Legislative Yuan, the site of long-term occupation encampments including the Alliance of Referendum for Taiwan’s occupation which had lasted for several years by the time of the Sunflower Movement. But demonstrations often occur at the cluster of government buildings in the area around Shandao Temple (善導寺) including the Legislative Yuan and Executive Yuan, or on Ketagalan Boulevard in front of the Presidential Office Building (總統府). Demonstrations also occur frequently at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial (中正紀念堂) nearby, one of the largest public spaces in Taipei.
